Steps of Recovery:

• Run Stellar Phoenix SQL Recovery software.
• At the startup, a message box is displayed that prompts you to stop MS SQL Server (if, it is still running on your system), and copy the MDF file to another location.
• Click 'OK' when done. The 'Select File' dialog box will be displayed when the message box is closed.
• In the 'Select File' dialog box, select the MDF file that you want to repair. Optionally, you can search for the MDF file as well using 'Find MDF File' option, if you do not know the location of the MDF file. The contents of the MDF file would be listed in a pane.

NOTE: If you want to check the software interface first, then click the 'Cancel' button to close the 'Select File' dialog box.

You can Click the 'Open MS SQL File to Repair' icon or click 'Open MS SQL File' option in the 'File' menu to open the 'Select File' dialog box.

• Start the repair process by clicking the 'Start Repair' icon or the 'Start Repair' option in the 'File' menu.
• You will be prompted to enter the SQL Server name. Enter the name of the SQL Server in the 'SERVER\INSTANCE NAME' dialog box.
